December 13, 14, & 15 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
December 20, 21, 22, & 23 (Friday – Monday)
Each day the Candy Shop will be open from 2:00 to 6:00.

Boy Scot Christmas Trees

Our local Boy Scout group is offering fresh cut Christmas trees at the corner of Birch Bay Lynden Road & the Bay Road. This is a great way to support a local scout group.

Bake Sale to Support the Library

One of the youngsters came up with an idea to help the library. Bailey’s idea is a bake sale. Several of us have pitched in to help. Come to the site of our future library and purchase soe Baked items for the Holidays. Saturday, December 14 between 1 and 4 PM.

New Barber in Birch Bay

We have a new barber on Birch Bay Drive near Alderson Road. Lupo’s Barber Shop is a new business at Birch Bay. You can reach Mario at 206-518-8930. Lupo’s Barbershop is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.

The Beach Shack Will be Open

The Beach Shack gifts will be open the same days as The C Shop. is easy to find it is nexst to The C Shop. December 13, 14, & 15 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
December 20, 21, 22, & 23 (Friday – Monday)
Each day the Candy Shop will be open from 2:00 to 6:00.

Scampi Osteria,

Scampi Osteria is located on Alderson Road next to The C Shop. It is best if you call Devon at 1-360-393-4415 for a reservation. Giovanni has created many outstanding Italian recipes served a Scampi. Made daily homemade focaccia bread, lasagna, made from scratch sauces, ragu, fine wine with a full bar.

Birch Bay Corner Espresso & Grocery

Will be opening at the corner of Blaine and Birch Bay Lynden Roads. We do not have a date for you as yet. Keep your eyes open for them when you go through that intersection.


Wooden Stitches Open Weekends

Wooden Stitches is on Blaine Road between Bay Road and Alderson Road. You will find this to be an interesting stop for your Holiday Shopping.

Washington State Department of Transportation would like your input help us develop the State Active Transportation Plan. We’ve set up a questionnaire that should take around 9-10 minutes to complete. It will open in a separate tab. All responses will be kept confidential. The questionnaire will close after Dec. 15, 2019.



Berm Construction Starts

Construction Schedule: Beginning December 9th at the southerly limits of the project, near Lora Lane, the contractor will be installing erosion control best management practices and mobilizing equipment to the project site.The contractor anticipates importing 80,000 tons to the project site January 6, 2020 to February 15, 2020, which will complete the berm construction from Lora Lane to the Bay Breeze Restaurant. This work will largely take place between the hours of 10 pm to 8 am due to the winter tidal cycle.This look ahead schedule is subject to change and will be updated as needed to reflect any changes.Traffic Impacts: Initialtraffic impacts in the month of December are likely to be minimal. Traffic impacts will increase beginning in January between the hours of 10 pm to 8 am. These impacts will be single lane closure and/or flagging for truck traffic importing beach gravel to the site.Project Documents: The final plans and contract package can be found in the Design/Plans link on the left side ribbon.
