Storm Affects on the Spit

The wind and incoming tide affect the movement of water along the bay. This results in sand and gravel move north along the beach. What is going on is gravel and sand moves north following the coastline if there is no sand or gravel to the south it will take it from that part of the beach and deposit it to the north. Koi
When the first phase of the condos were built, the beach was added 30 to 35 feet. It flowed a Wolf Boure Berm design. It held up during the winter storm. The beach to the north showed erosion.
Sand and gravel removed from the beach.
Gravel added to the beach.
